What inspires me?
Everything inspires me, but mostly nature. Ever since I was a young, being outside was what I loved. I didn't matter if I was alone or with my friends, something about it was always so fun and carefree. Growing up in such a rural area definitely contributed to my love for the outside. To this day, whenever I create art, I always tend to lean towards landscapes, flowers, etc. My Concentration Concept: An effective reflection on my concentration reaches out and welcomes people to my art, no matter how little or how much they know about art to begin with. Today, people have short attention spans and I want to catch their eyes quickly. I want to open up the viewers mind to all the different type of landscapes an artist is able to create. You can create realistic ones, or made-up, cartoon-like landscapes. All can make a person feel different things, which is the overall goal. There is always this tension where people see things and compare them to what they might actually look like or how they wish they looked like. I want my artwork to make people think about maybe how it could look differently but it doesn’t. Technique: My technique is very simple. I tend to just go with the flow of the artwork. I usually have an idea of what I want to create but something about planning ahead to me is just not how I am as a person. I sometimes will create something then continue to add on wherever I think is needed. I feel as if this technique works best for me so I can constantly be creative and use my imagination, not getting caught up in what I was originally supposed to be doing. This also allows me to express myself more easily. |
